Cheddar Bacon Potato Soup

This is one of my favorite recipes for cold days. It’s one meal that everyone in the house usually at least has one bowl of. I hope you enjoy it as much as we have.


5 potatoes

1 small can of carrots

1 1/2 Cups water

1 tsp salt

2 1/2 Cups milk

3 tbsp melted butter

3tbsp all purpose flour

salt and pepper to taste

garlic salt to taste

2 Cups shredded cheese

pre cooked bacon


In a large pot over medium heat; combine potatoes, carrots, water, and salt. Bring to boil, then reduce heat, cover and simmer until potatoes are tender. About 15- 20 minutes. Once tender, stir in milk and meat.

In a small bowl combine melted butter, flour, garlic, salt, pepper. Stir into soup and increase heat to medium. Add cheese and keep stirring until thick and bubbly. Let stand 5- 10 minutes.
